Choosing An Agency
Choosing
an agency is simple and to help you we have listed below
some handy pointers.
1)
Steer clear of any agency that has not traded for more than
3 years.
2)
Do NOT deal with an agency that operates from a PO Box
address, or has a mobile phone as their primary number.
3)
Do not respond to advertising, or facebook group contacts -
Good agencies wouldn't touch these options with a barge
pole!
4)
Check that the agency you are preferring has a strong
client list with plenty of work for it's models. Ask to see
evidence of work.
5)
Do not choose an agency that charges assessment fees, or
test shoot fees, unless you are happy to pay and be
declined.
6)
Beware of bogus posters in 'parent chatrooms' - the advice
you are being fed could be from an agent after your money!
So,
once you have sifted out the good from the bad, using the
above, you should
1)
Speak to the agency in person if they have responded to
your application by post, or email and have them satisfy
your queries.
2)
Make an appointment to visit their offices if you feel the
need to.
If you then find you have a shortlist of several agencies
and still don't know which to choose, go for the cheapest
and/or best value!
Whoever
you go choose to with remember there's always the chance
that a client may not book your child, so please keep your
costs to a minimum!
